ARNOLD GERALD BURLEIGH, an Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter member and notable accountant entered the gates of Chapter Invisible on September 25, 2015. He was a life member of Grand Chapter and the Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
He married Annette Kirk in 1975 and to their union three lovely daughters was born: Akilah, Audrea and Allisyn. Brother Burleigh attended Oklahoma State University then Langston University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He was initiated at Langston University into the Alpha Pi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi where he later became the Chapter Keeper of Exchequer. As an employee of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for over 20 years he was a Business Manager Accountant. He also co-owned and managed his own accounting firm in Oklahoma City.
As a member of the Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter he was devoted its’ Guide Right Program in which he had a unique gift and ability to work with young men. He was successful in reaching many young men and encouraged their development into outstanding gentlemen. He additionally served as a Boy Scout leader in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma community.
Brother Burleigh was a previous member of S. John Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and played in the church orchestra. At the time of his death he was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church both of Oklahoma City.
In honor of Brother Arnold G. Burleigh devotion to the Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter Guide Right Program, the family asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Guide Right Program.
