August 30, 2005 Greetings
Brothers: We
have all seen the devastation caused by the horrific Storm Katrina.
Many of our brothers are included in the devastation throughout
Louisiana , Mississippi and
Alabama . While
we do not have any specific information to the extent of the impact on our brothers
specifically, one can only imagine the extent of loss they are experiencing at
this time. Our collective prayers
go out to all the people who are suffering in the wake of Katrina’s devastation,
especially those who are apart of the Kappa Alpha Psi Family.
Please stand ready to assist in whatever way possible to help bring relief
to those impacted by this event. Just
moments ago, I heard from the Sr. Grand Vice Polemarch and the Southwestern Province
Polemarch, Brother Murray and Brother Brown have weathered the storm in Baton Rouge , which was
not hit as hard as originally projected.
However, their area has suffered damage, including loss of power and land
communication lines but their families are safe and sound. Please
encourage all that would seek to help in this endeavor to
contribute to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund - Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation,

HERE TO CONTRIBUTE Thank
each of you for the concern you share for our brothers and the many others who
have suffered great losses from this major weather event called Katrina.
Remember to keep everyone affected and those directly involved in offering
refuge and care in your prayers. Yours
in the Bond, Samuel
C. Hamilton Grand Polemarch
