Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is an international organization
founded on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington,
Indiana on January 5, 1911. Since its inception, it has
trained over 125,000 men, particularly undergraduates,
for leadership roles in their communities and the attainment
of a high degree of excellence in their academic pursuits.
With more than 650 alumni and collegiate chapters in the
United States and across the world, Kappa Alpha Psi is
recognized as a major contributor to the advancement of
the African American community.
In July of 2005, Kappa Alpha Psi further demonstrated
its commitment to community by partnering with St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital at the 76th Grand Chapter
in St. Louis.
Since then, the Fraternity has held a number of golf tournaments
on behalf of the hospital, and last year presented a check
to St. Jude for more than $100,000. |
